In November 2005, Tysha Michelle formed an African-American book club consisting of women with
various back grounds, interest, and responsibilities. The ladies meet on the second Saturday of every month
to not only discuss books, but to escape from the demands of their lives and simply have fun, if only for a couple of
hours.
Shades of EveryDay Women Book-Club (SEWB) guidelines require
each member to have fun, be themselves and to always show respect for each woman's opinion. Every decision is voted on
and the majority always rules. SEWB plans to get involved in their community by volunteering at local libraries, Children's
Hospital as well as sponsoring a family in need during the holiday seasons.
Following is a list of novels we've read and are currently reading. Our grading scale is as follows: *****
= Excellent a must read **** = Good, recommended read *** = Fair, borrow
from the library ** = Bad, not worth the time *
= Poor, a complete waste of time
